Compensation: $80000 to $95000 per year
This 100 year old Not-For-Profit is seeking a Payroll Manager to manage its entire Payroll Department. This is a senior role in which you will be managing 4 other payroll staff. You will manage the daily operations of the Payroll Department, including the in-house processing and timely and accurate issuance of bi-weekly checks for approximately 3,200 employees, oversee preparation of all payroll-related schedules and/or reports requested by internal and external auditors, you will coordinate and work with Human Resources and fiscal managers to ensure timely and accurate payments to the employees, review practices, procedures, and policies of the department and revise as necessary to improve efficiency and/or workflow. You will also ensure accurate and timely payment of tax liabilities and filing of IRS Federal Forms 941 and W-2, while serving as the primary liaison between Payroll and the Information Technology Group in implementing payroll system changes, overseeing program coding changes and determining testing scenarios required to validate program modifications relating to the payroll module of the Human Resources Information System, ensure accuracy and timeliness of links to the general ledger, analyze outstanding checks to ensure the adherence to proper and timely reporting procedures to meet State Abandoned Property Regulations.
