This role is responsible for the design and configuration of network systems on Client's global data network. The successful candidate must be competent to work alone at the highest level of systems analysis, design, and implementation and must be able to function as a remote member of the Gobal Network Engineering team. The candidate may act as project leader for projects with varying budgets and duration. This position will report into the Global Network Engineering Team.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide network engineering , design, support and coordination for global LAN, Wan and Communications Services projects
Provide Tier 3 support for Client's global network and advanced technologies
Coordinate and execute technical implementation and upgrade change control tasks for the Monsanto global network
Assist in VOIP implementation and support process design
Provide configuration documentation and recommendations for core network routing and switching projects.
Perform requirements gathering for the design analysis, testing, documentation, development, and implementations of new technologies
Need to travel Client's regional remote locations on project demand.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills including excellent oral and written English language skills
Proven experience in working with Internet, corporate LAN/ Wan and telephony services in a 'highly available' environment
Experience in managing LAN/Wan /VOIP projects
Support technical design, implementation and troubleshooting Cisco IPT (VoIP) networks
Experience with alternate network connectivity methods (Cellular, Line of Sight satellite, WiFi, etc) highly desired
Proven
Knowledge of network transmission principles, IP networks, routing and quality of service fundamentals
knowledge of Wan technologies, circuit fundamentals, customer applications and troubleshooting techniques is also essential
Bachelor of Science in Computer or Engineering and 3-5 years network experience
